AFGC CHILDREN'S PERCH DERBY

SUNDAY, MARCH 15, 2020

WEST NEEBISH ROAD, LAIRD TOWNSHIP

(end of Neebish Road on the ice)

Fishing Hours: 10:00AM-1:00PM (tentatively)

Hot dogs, hot chocolate, trophies and prize presentations to follow.

The 2019 derby had 488 children plus their families attend for a fun day on the ice.

A FREE fun day of fishing for Canadian veterans.  

All Fishing gear and bait is supplied by Boat Captains and Algoma Fish And Game Club.

Coffee & Muffins, Bag Lunch, 

pictures and Dinner at the Legion.

from time to time, with discussion and information about current topics of interest, such as, hunting, fishing and boating regulations, MNRF and DNR legislation, environmental concerns, and more.

In the past, we've hosted this event as a Walleye Derby, however we are now changing the structure to encourage families to come out and enjoy a day of fishing together.

*Youth Archery Event with 

 Sault North Archery Club

The 2018 Fall Kids Fishing Day has almost

 300 children and their families attend.
